Faith & Football Role
Extra Time School Co-ordinator at Cottage Grove Primary
Why do you do it?
I do this because I really believe in the work of Faith & Football. I know that God is behind everything that is happening with this great charity & I feel privileged to be involved in it. I really hope that with God's help we can make a difference to the lives of the children & families we meet & help to lead them to the Lord.
'Even youths grow tired & weary & young men stumble & fall; but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run & not grow weary, they will walk & not be faint.'
Isaiah 41 v 30
Why Is It Your Favourite?
When I am feeling tired or discouraged I think of this verse & it really inspires me. God will always lift us up when we are weary.
How Did you become a Christian?
I was brought up in a church-going family but it wasn't until I was in my 20s that I made a real commitment to God when a 'Share Jesus Mission' came to the church I attended at the time. I have been through times in my life when I have tried to live without God but I now know that I cannot live without Him. For me my Christian walk is a continuous journey and I am still learning!
